Whippoorwill Aristocrat, aka "Cat," is a classically bred Morgan Stallion with a history of athletically bred horses in every line of his pedigree. Cat has five crosses to Jubilee King, and one of the few stallions in the country with a tail male line to the great Whippoorwill Duke and his sire, Squire Burger. With additional Working Western bloodlines through his dam's sire, Blackwood Correll, Cat has a pedigree that complements any breeding program looking to a Sport Morgan.
As “you can’t ride the pedigree,” performance is something we have concentrated on with Cat and all of our breeding stock. Prior to 2005, Cat was shown and trained primarily by his amateur owner, with scores in the mid-60’s at Training Level in Open Shows. Cat currently is in training with Cathy Echternach competing each month from April through September in large, USDF recognized, open dressage shows. In 2005, he showed at First Level, scoring in the mid-60's, as well as placing in the top half of his classes, impressive considering his competition is mostly warmblood mounts with other Professional trainers.
